Save Our Common Mountain Environment known as “SOCME” was set up in
2003 to do exactly as the name applies.

It is a community group made up of people who live and work around Mynydd Y
Gwair, it has gathered tremendous support in the last ten years both locally
nationally and internationally, as it tries to give the argument to save these
beautiful surroundings and preserve for posterity.

On my Blog Fifty four countries, will have read of how in Wales democracy is being
contemptuously ignored. So as the only Armiger in Mawr I urge all out opposition to
Mynydd y Gwair as I have done for fifteen years. The first line of defence is the usual
planning objection procedure. I have objected almost a thousand times on this blog
and formally objected three times, both to Mynydd y Gwair and Betws. The lessons
of Betws must be learned, and if for some reason the first line of defence is breached
there must be an immediate application for a judicial review. That was not done at Betws.
For a long time I have been urging the organization of a legal battle along the attached
lines. There were multiple breaches of human rights at Betws. I have been observing Betws
for a few months, and it is already clear that it is producing nothing, an engineering disaster.
The Hemsby precedent shows that a large local majority cannot be over - ruled, and that
provides a precedent in case law. No individual can take on a multinational alone, so the
organization of a class action is needed now, with no further
delay. Another powerful
argument is that this proposal has already been thrown out three
times. The development
at Betws has completely obliterated a commonland, in breach of
many laws. That criminality
was not challenged in court for lack of organization. SOCME is
much better organized.
There is
no talk any more of global warming, and turbine subsidies
will soon disappear.
That will lead
the way to the legal demolition of all turbines forced
through against a large
or overwhelming
local opposition. Costs of demolition to be paid by
the criminal elements
who ruined the
ommon land. Representative government has
collapsed, so local referenda
systems need to be
established. A local referendum on wind
turbines on Mynydd y Gwair
and Betws would lead
immediately to massive opposition and
immediate demolition orders. In my fight against
vandals I have found that the Somerset
Trust is totally irresponsible, it does not do anything
at all to look after its estates, so a
local referendum would lead to a massive majority to
have it
nationalized without
recompense and finally thrown out of Wales. Finally there are
plans
to deliberately destroy
the Welsh language by saturating Mawr with unwanted
housing.
It should be made a
gealtacht area and all immigration prohibited of those unable to speak
Welsh and who have
not passed an O level examination in Welsh. It seems that Britain will
soon have a
referendum on the EEC, and will probably pull out, making further immigration
impossible.
So when it comes to their language, the English look after themselves. Not only
do we have
the English language to protect in the countries of Britain, but also the ancient
Celtic
languages of Britain. Not only that we must protect our own heritage, religion and
culture.

Wind turbines – not just hateful but ruddy dangerous too!

Richard Dawkins you are WRONG. There IS definitely a God – and for proof, look no further than His decision to topple a ruddy great wind turbine at Bradworthy in Devon just a day before my first ever appearance on Question Time.
With luck, this will mean a wind turbine question pops up. I do hope so, for it will give me the perfect opportunity to the point out yet another of the myriad reasons why wind turbines are such a monstrous and utterly indefensible blight. Apart from being ugly, noisy, expensive, inefficient, destructive to wildlife and incapable of doing the one thing that notionally they're supposed to do – "reduce CO2" – they are also BLOODY DANGEROUS.
For chapter and verse on this go to Caithness Windfarm Information Forum. It has compiled a list of accidents and fatalities caused by wind turbines. Since the 1970s, for example, there have been at least 133 fatalities caused by wind turbines. The worst of these was an accident inBrazil last year when a turbine fell onto a bus, killing 17 passengers.
Really, though, given the proliferation of wind farms in the last five years – and given their inherent instability and the number of wind turbines now being placed irresponsibly next to people's homes or to roads – it's amazing that the death and injury rate hasn't been higher.

And lest you think this is the perniciously biased propagandising of an evil climate change denier probably in the pay of Big Oil, Big Carbon, Big Koch, etc allow me to remind of the latest convert to the anti-wind cause. Here is what one man wrote in a letter to Torridge district council objecting to plans to erect an 84 metre turbine at Witherdon Wood in one of the loveliest parts ofNorth Devon.

We never intended a fundamentalist Green movement that rejected all energy sources other than renewable, nor did we expect the Greens to cast aside our priceless ecological heritage because of their failure to understand that the needs of the Earth are not separable from human needs. We need take care that the spinning windmills do not become like the statues on Easter Island, monuments of a failed civilisation.
